PROTECTING YOUR PRIVACY

The Sebastian-Tunis Foundation, Inc. (“the Foundation”) maintains confidentiality with respect to your scholarship or grant application information.  The following contains information regarding how we protect your privacy and use information.

Do we collect or track information from site visitors.  This site collects no personally identifying information about you except when you knowingly and specifically provide it to us. We do not share, rent, trade, or sell any of the personal information you provide with non-related third parties. Visitors to our website are not tracked in any way by the Foundation.

How we use and disclose your scholarship or grant application information.  We may disclose your personal information without your consent if we are required to by law or if the Foundation has reason to believe that doing so is necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone damaging, injuring, or interfering with our rights, property, or users.  The Foundation scholarship and grant staff are the only individuals who have knowledge of the names of the scholarship applicants. For all other individuals in the scholarship and grant review process, the names of the scholarship and grant applicants are not disclosed. The Foundation may share your scholarship and grant application information with the Foundation scholarship staff, the Foundation scholarship and grant committee members, the financial analyst utilized by the scholarship and grant staff and committee, and your named educational institution (collectively “third parties”). This limited sharing of your application information is used by the Foundation to help process your application, perform statistical analysis, send correspondence, provide student or educational institution support, or to arrange for deliveries of application packets, deliver funds and other related materials. Such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except in performance of their services for the Foundation relating to your scholarship or grant application, and all third parties are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information. From time to time, the names of scholarship and grant recipients may be listed in press releases and on the Foundation website. The Foundation, however, will only use the name of a scholarship recipient after receiving the scholarship recipient’s permission. 

What happens to your information when we link to other sites.  From time to time, the Foundation scholarship and grants may contain links to other carefully chosen sites. However, the Foundation cannot be responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites. You should review the privacy policy of each specific site.

Security of your information.  Please note that sending data over the Internet is never completely secure. Although we endeavor to fully protect your information, we cannot guarantee the security of the data you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk.

Changes to our Privacy Policy.  We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions of this policy at any time. If our policy changes, we will post a notice on our site.
